A musician from Dallas, TX and based in Los Angeles,
David Carriaga Hobbs is zealously dedicated to a wide variety of musical projects.
As an opera singer, Mr. Hobbs was an Encouragement Award winner at the 2019 Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions for the San Diego district, had his Carnegie Hall debut in September 2019, and enjoyed another year of numerous professional role debuts. Most notable of those roles were two of Gounod’s best baritone roles, Valentin in Faust (Repertory Opera Company) and Mercutio in Romeo et Juliette (Pacific Lyric Association).
As an instrumentalist, David is working as a bassist, guitarist, and pianist in a wide range of projects across LA and Dallas, and throughout the southwest. Though each is different, they all receive the same energy that David pours into every musical project he takes part in.
